There are a number of ways you can help us to make a difference.

1. You can ask a local school to run a mufti-day book drive. Instead of asking students to bring a gold coin, ask them to bring a couple of books that they no longer read from their bookshelf. This works just as well for schools without a uniform, who just hold a book drive.

Not only will students be recycling unwanted books, but they'll also get a sense of pride by contributing to a great cause from their own belongings. Just as important, donating a book from home allows them to contribute without drawing on the family budget. This is by far the easiest way for an individual or school to help us to collect a large number of books.

2. You can send us appropriate books. The books should be:

           •    for school aged children (5 – 17 year olds).
           •    Clean and tidy (no missing pages or badly ripped covers please).
           •    In English or a Pacific Island language.

3. You can donate to us through our account at ASB Dominion Road.              Account number: 12-3016-0648446-00
Please note: An Ocean of Books has donee status with the IRD, so please follow up your donation by e-mail and confirm your postal address.

4. Donate 10 minutes of your time!

Probably the easiest way to help if you don't havebooks to donate is to register at Buzz the People and agree to take occassional surveys. We get paid a small fee for each and every survey, so your donation of time will make a big difference for us. Simply Click on the button below and follow the instructions.
